Bendix Warehouse and Office Expansion

This project consisted of a 116,927 SF Warehouse expansion, 15,336 SF of office expansion and the renovation of 82,000 SF of existing warehouse for the German based Company Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC. The site was in a large bedrock cut that required rock blasting for removal to create new building pads. The project required critical scheduling and logistic coordination with the owner as owner was restructuring the overall flow and operations of their existing 300,000 +SF facility. The new warehouse was to receive all materials from the exiting warehouse, then the existing warehouse had to be renovated while the owner was moving materials and converting this area into production space. Deadlines had to be met on phased construction to receive new production equipment deliveries and installations. While the warehouse and warehouse renovation were underway the new office addition was being built as well and employees involved in the logistics efforts of restructuring the plant were moved into the new office areas with the least amount of disruption to operations.
