Project Description

Bilstein Cold Rolled Steel manufactures high performance cold rolled steel for multiple markets including automotive, tools, and light weight construction. This project included the expansion of the existing Batch Annealing Furnace building and adding 10 furnace base foundations. The building addition was on the inside corner of the existing building that had to be maintained and active throughout construction. The building and furnace foundations were auger casting piles bearing on bedrock to support the new furnaces. The timeline foe this project was 4 months, then the entire steel structure had to be erected, roofed and siding installed through the wSpline Sans months of December and January to be dried in by February. This project included a crane rail extension at the same time as the building dry in date to allow its use to install equipment. The project completed early to allow owner to move in and begin testing and production on schedule.
