Knowledgeable Management
Our people have over 5,000 combined years of experience to ensure professionalism, skill, craftsmanship, and above all, honesty, G. Michael Murphy has personally interviewed (with supervisors present), evaluated and hired each of our 250 employees. This constitutes the foundation for quality and excellence. Our managers, supervisors, and crewmembers are OSHA Certified. Our field supervisors and foremen have an average of over 30 years of building construction experience, with an average of 18 years of that with our companies. Many of these individuals have “worked their way up” through the company where they have served as experienced and quality craftsmen.
Our management personnel are well educated and experienced with nearly 1,000 years of combined experience in this industry. Their degrees range from civil engineering to construction management.
Planning and Scheduling
The Murphy Construction Group’s proactive and strategic approach to each project starts with a comprehensive schedule, pre-planning each task and examining what if to ensure that we are prepared to complete each task on time and on budget, while ensuring the safety of our employees, the project site and the public.
We critique the project plans and schedule forwards and backwards, ensuring that manpower, equipment, materials and subcontractors are successfully mobilized to the site on time to deliver a successful project. These are just a few of our many standards set in place to ensure our clients a successful project, where they can remain focused on their own operations, and not have to worry about ours.

The “Blue and Yellow” team has built a trustworthy reputation with the local communities, surrounding counties, and the state of Kentucky. We work well with all local and state governments and regulatory agencies. We take an active role in state and community public projects and organizations. We also are in constant contact with competent suppliers and subcontractors, who have the knowledge and ability to produce a top-quality product or service.
